Back by popular demand it's ...
Let's begin with Mr. Jim Capaldi
Circa: 1978RSO Records inc.
"Daughter of the Night" is probably his most well known hit on this disco rock style record. He's easy & breezy. Soulful & deeply intense at times. Good combination of slow & fast songs. I think he was suppose to be the next big thing back in the late 70's but for some reason didn't quite make it. I only know about this guy because I bought this record at Value Village 3 weeks ago. And NO I am NOT romantically connected to Jim in any way even though he is totally my type.
This is an excellent record to spin on a 1st date. Maybe I'll call him up & do just that.
Rating: 4$ outta 5
Moving on to review #2
It's Rick James bitch! Bustin' out of L 7. Not really sure what he means by that but whatever. Funk at it's finest & he will always be the king of funk. Now this is the record you whip out to really set the party on fire. Beautifully orchestrated. It's a symphony of sexiness that works well on the dance floor as well as the bed room. Aside from the obvious #1 hit "Bustin' out" there's lot's of brilliant surprises hidden in the less popular tracks. The guys a genius!Circa: 1979

Let's start with Rory Gallagher
"Calling Card". Which is the only thing he left behind when he left early that morning...And thank God 'cause I will definately be callin' this dude back. He's bluegrass, folky & pure rock all rolled in one. Yup! This guys got it covered. Beautifully orchestrated acoustics & the lyrical context just go hand in hand. Like lovers. Anyways! I'm into this record & I hope Rory Gallagher calls me back. Omygodpleasecallmeback!!!Rating: 5$ out of 5 yeah man!

Circa: record doesn't state but I was vulnerable at the time.
